South Sound

South Sound is one of the most popular family-friendly neighborhoods in Grand Cayman.  Residents often describe it as an oasis of calm and one of the best places to live in Grand Cayman.  It is a convenient place to call home, located just south of George Town close to schools and businesses.

South Sound is home to the Cayman Islands Rugby Club, the Tennis and Squash Club, DART Park, and a Public Dock with a Government boat launching ramp.  It also home to the National Trust of the Cayman Islands.  South Sound also has a boardwalk, which is a lovely place to take a stroll along the water at sunset as is Smith Cove (pictured).

South Sound has many lovely beaches including the beautiful Smith Cove, the Boardwalk (pictured) and just a short drive away, Spotts Beach, which is popular for both swimming and snorkeling.  You can kayak, paddle board and kite surf just off the boardwalk or just sit and enjoy watching the kite surfers riding the waves! 

The world famous Seven Mile Beach is only a short drive away.

Some of the top schools in the local area include Cayman Prep & High School (pictured), St Ignatius Catholic School, both of use the UK curriculum and Montessori Del Sol to name but a few!

Cayman International School (CIS) in Camana Bay is also a popular school in Grand Cayman and its curriculum is based on the American and International standards.
